The girls travel program provides an opportunity for junior girls to participate in several one day tournaments in the Orange County, Temecula and Los Angeles areas. Travel teams are for those athlete’s who are serious about competing at a higher level. It would best suit players who can commit to practicing two to three times a week and who strive to either make their Varsity High School programs or those that want to play in college.
This year Tsunami VBC will be fielding both regional and festival travel teams. Regional teams participate in SCVA sanctioned events that conclude with the regional championships in May or June. Festival teams conclude their season by participating in the Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Arizona.
What are regional travel teams?
- A competitive travel program that gives junior girls a chance to compete against clubs participating in the Southern California region.
- Ideal for athletes who want to travel and improve their skills to play at a higher level of volleyball. Teaches dedication and hard work.
- Regional teams on average practice twice a week or 8 times per month
- Regional tournaments take place in the Orange County, Temecula and Los Angeles areas. For site directions click here.

What are Festival Teams?
- SAME AS a regional team but the season runs for about a month longer
- Travel and participate in the Volleyball Festival in Phoenix, Arizona
- A great opportunity for exposure to college coaches and also to see how big the sport actually is… about 2,000 participating teams
- Going to Festival is and added cost and is not included in the regular monthly dues
